From Dark to Light – the first new moon 2022
We had a family solstice fire in our friend’s back garden. These are our hands, covered in flour, channelling our good wishes for the world.
We recited the poem/song – From Dark to Light – while looking to the four directions. And we burned things we wanted to discard from last six months, and we said what we have enjoyed in the last six months – like our holiday in Achmelvich. Since the Summer Solstice 2021, there have been two major changes in our life:
Ratnadevi has finished her book: Bringing Mindfulness to Life – showing how to live with ease and compassion in these complex times.
Book Launch event 22nd January 5 to 6:30pm on zoom . . . Ratnadevi will guide a short meditation. About this book:
“In a wonderfully warm and inviting voice, Ratnadevi brings mindfulness down to earth and into the heart. A gifted writer, she turns abstract ideas into living words that draw the reader onward and inward. This is a wonderful complement to classics such as Radical Acceptance, and full of value for our too-hectic world. Rick Hanson, PhD, author of ‘Hardwiring Happiness’ and many other best-selling books. Register in advance for this meeting: BRINGING MINDFULNESS TO LIFE

I was away from Glasgow and PlaySpace Publications, away from computers, phones, letters, newspapers – incommunicado! for three and half months and came home in November with a new name “Sukhema” which means He who is very peaceful, at ease. A name I needs to grow into – it feels like a new pair of walking boots that need breaking in. . . .Some folk continue to call me Larry, some call me Sukhee, my Buddhist friends call me Sukhema. You choose!
with well wishes for 2022
Larry or Sukhema
